Wheat SU HYBISCUS

French breeding for modern fields

The hybrid wheat ZU Hibiscus from ASUR Plant Breeding is a technological response to the climate challenges of recent years. As a product of the French breeding school, this F1 hybrid is focused on stability in environments where traditional varieties begin to lose their yield potential.

Adaptability and field performance

The key feature of ZU Hibiscus is its ability to maintain productivity under moisture deficit. The hybrid nature of the plant provides a robust root system that utilizes soil resources more efficiently during drought periods. In field conditions, the crop demonstrates:

• High resistance to lodging, which is critical for intensive farming practices and the application of high nitrogen fertilizer rates.
• Stable reaction to temperature stress: the genetic potential allows the plant to maintain photosynthetic activity longer during the grain-filling phase, even under extreme summer temperatures.
• Comprehensive tolerance to major cereal pathogens, reducing the need for fungicide treatments and optimizing crop protection costs.

Growing zones and potential

The registration of the hybrid in Ukraine in 2026 opens new opportunities for farmers working in high-risk agricultural zones. ZU Hibiscus shows excellent results on various soil types, demonstrating the plasticity characteristic of the best European F1 hybrids. This is the choice for those who prioritize predictable results and high grain quality that meets export standards.
