ZENTOS

ZENTOS is a soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) variety characterized by its adaptability to various climatic conditions and growing regions. Depending on the region, the variety exhibits different characteristics: in the North-West region, it is mid-late maturity, ripening 4 days later than the standard 'Moskva Nizkostebelnaya', while in the South-Foot-Hill zone of the Krasnodar Krai and Stavropol Krai, it is mid-early maturity with a vegetation period of 223-270 days. Plant height ranges from 90 to 108 cm, the mass of 1000 grains is 36-54 g, the grain is red and large. The yield of the variety in the Kaliningrad region reaches a maximum of 77.7 c/ha, with an average yield of 43.5 c/ha for the region, which is 4.1 c/ha higher than the average standard.

The ZENTOS variety has good lodging resistance and enhanced resistance to brown rust, ensuring yield stability. In the North-West region, winter hardiness is rated as medium and lower-medium, while in the South-Foot-Hill zone, high drought resistance and shattering resistance are noted. Baking qualities of the variety range from satisfactory to good in northern regions and are considered excellent in southern regions, where the wheat is characterized as strong. However, the variety is susceptible to certain diseases, such as fusarium, yellow rust, septoria, and powdery mildew, which requires attention in agronomic practices.

For effective cultivation of the ZENTOS variety, the use of modern plant protection products, including herbicides, is recommended, which help control weeds and increase crop productivity. This approach contributes to maintaining plant health and maximizing the variety's potential in various agro-climatic conditions.
