LOS 5 Vetch seeds are a cultivated spring crop intended as a forage plant and for grain production. The variety is distinguished by high yield up to 4‑5 t/ha and good resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew, rust, and fungal diseases. Thanks to these characteristics, vetch LOS 5 is suitable for cultivation even in cold climatic conditions.
Plants reach a height of 80–100 cm, have wide leaves with a smooth surface, and the seeds are light greenish. The grain density of the variety is medium-high, which makes it valuable both as fodder for livestock and large animal husbandry, and as raw material for flour production.
For successful sowing, cultivation is recommended in late autumn (September–October). Seeds germinate at a temperature of 10–15 °C and soil moisture of 60–70 %. The row spacing should be 20–25 cm, and the planting density – 120–140 t/ha. By adhering to these parameters, you will get a stable high-quality yield.
