Vika Ugolek is an early-maturing variety of vetch (Vicia sativa L.), specifically developed for cultivation in the central regions of the country. The variety is characterized by light-green leaf coloration, leaves with medium width and a straight apex; anthocyanin coloration is visible in the leaf axils, giving the plant a distinctive appearance.
The pods are long, of medium width, and have moderate hairiness. The beak is short, and the ovules are of medium size. The seeds are large and round, light blue-black in color without ornamentation, which facilitates their processing and sowing.
Yield of dry matter in the central region is 44.1 centners per hectare (≈4.41 tons), which exceeds the regional average by 1.5 c/ha. Due to these characteristics, the variety is recommended for the production of green mass and can be used as a fodder plant.
