Vetch OMICHA 3

A Legacy of Siberian Breeding

The common vetch variety "Omichka 3" is the result of long-term work by specialists at the Omsk Agrarian Scientific Center. The variety was developed by a team of breeders led by Valentina Ustinovna Nechaeva, Nikolai Ivanovich Vasyakin, and Yuri Nikolaevich Kipreev. In the harsh Siberian climate, this variety has established itself as a reliable tool for building a robust feed base.

Focus: Maximizing Green Mass

This annual crop is designed exclusively for the production of green forage. The main objective of "Omichka 3" is to maximize the vegetative period to produce biomass rich in protein. Farmers choose this variety for its predictable development and ability to provide stable yields in challenging agricultural conditions.

• Originator: Omsk Agrarian Scientific Center.
• Type: Annual common vetch.
• Purpose: Green forage production for livestock farming.

The variety's reputation is built on its adaptability to regional soil and climatic conditions. Unlike many introduced hybrids, "Omichka 3" demonstrates resilience to sharp temperature fluctuations during the growing season, which is critical for obtaining high-quality silage or haylage in northern and central agricultural regions.
