Vetch KRASNOUFIMSKAYA 49

Winter Sowing: Maximizing Productivity

The «Krasnoufimskaya 49» vetch is a practical choice for producers focusing on efficient crop rotation. As a grower, you will appreciate its primary feature: it is specifically bred for late autumn sowing. This strategy allows the crop to utilize early spring moisture effectively and avoid the heat stress often encountered by spring-planted varieties.

Reliable Field Performance

In terms of daily field operations, this variety is exceptionally low-maintenance. The genetic research conducted by the Ural Federal Agrarian Research Center and the Chelyabinsk Research Institute has resulted in strong resistance to key diseases, including:

• Wheat brown rust;
• Powdery mildew.

This resistance profile significantly cuts down your operational budget, as you can reduce the frequency of fungicide applications without compromising yield quality.

Operational Tips for Success

When working with this variety, the timing of the winter sowing is critical. The goal is to sow late enough to prevent overgrowth before the ground freezes, but early enough for the plants to establish a firm root system. Once spring arrives, «Krasnoufimskaya 49» demonstrates excellent vigor, effectively suppressing weed growth and reducing the need for intensive herbicide interventions. It is a robust, well-adapted variety designed for those who value steady, predictable results in challenging agricultural conditions.
