Vika "Lenskaya 15" – a hybrid spring variety of grain flax, specifically developed for cultivation in moderately continental climatic conditions. The variety is characterized by high yield and good seed density, making it attractive for both cotton production and the textile industry. Thanks to its high protein content (12–13 %) and starch molecules, "Lenskaya 15" ensures a quality product upon processing.
One of the key advantages of this variety is its resistance to major diseases: powdery spot blight, powdery mildew, and soil fungal infections. The thick plant bark facilitates rapid shortening, and the medium to high frost hardiness allows it to withstand low temperatures during sowing. The recommended sowing depth of 10–12 cm and row spacing of 30–35 cm ensure optimal root system development and maximum yield.
"Lenskaya 15" also demonstrates stable green mass yield, reaching 40‑50 c/ha (up to 80 c/ha) in some regions. Seeds are large, round in shape with pronounced ornamentation, which facilitates their processing and improves sowing efficiency. The variety is suitable for separate harvesting and is widely used both for grain and green mass.
