The variety "Uzunovskaya 91" belongs to the group of spring crops Vicia sativa and is widely used as green top-dressing, as well as a fodder mixture with oats. It is distinguished by high yield: up to 30 t/ha of green mass and 5 to 8 t of first-class hay per hectare under optimal soil moisture conditions.
Key characteristics include resistance to root rots, ascokochia, and fungal diseases such as powdery rust. The variety withstands brief spring frosts down to –4…–6 °C and tolerates a rainy period during the flowering phase. Leaves have a green hue, elongated-obovate shape without spots, and the stem is weakly pubescent. Flowers are purple, pods are of medium length with short beaks.
For successful cultivation, sowing is recommended at 120–150 kg/ha with soil moisture from 175 to 200 mm, and cutting should be maintained until flowering, with a height of not less than 6 cm. When preparing seeds, it is important to perform heat treatment. The variety is suitable for chernozem, grey forest, and clay soils, and can also grow in less humid areas with sufficient moisture. Due to high protein content (17% in green mass, 19-22% in hay) and good frost resistance, "Uzunovskaya 91" is a reliable choice for a stable harvest and feeding animals.
