Sinooke Divo is a leguminous, perennial herbaceous plant with high forage and honey-producing properties. Its seeds are small, mustard-colored, and resemble sesame in appearance. They have a slightly bitter taste, making them suitable as a spice in food. Lucerne germinates easily, producing tender sprouts with a nutty flavor, making it attractive for various applications.
This plant is valued for its high productivity and nutritional value. During the vegetative period, lucerne regenerates 3-4 times, providing tender and nutritious feed. The green mass and hay of lucerne are rich in protein, vitamins, and minerals. In terms of nutritional value, 100 kg of lucerne hay corresponds to 53 feeding units and contains 8.5 kg of digestible protein. The yield of green mass can reach 400-600 centners per hectare, and hay yield — 50-120 centners and more.
Lucerne is widely used for growing green feed, hay, and silage. Additionally, it serves as an effective green manure crop, improving soil fertility by enriching it with nitrogen. In dense stands, lucerne helps to clear fields of weeds, making it a useful component in agriculture and agrotechnology.
