Vegetable Pea Logan

Why Strube's 'Logan' is a top pick for early harvest

When you start the season in the field, the main requirement for vegetable peas is consistency. Strube's German breeding with the 'Logan' variety nails this 100%. It's one of those cases where the hybrid performs even in unstable spring weather, delivering a uniform harvest in just 50-60 days.

Agronomy and Crop Protection

The main headache for pea growers is fungal disease. 'Logan' behaves like a tank here. Its resistance to Fusarium and Ascochyta blight eliminates the need for excessive fungicide applications. This directly impacts production costs and simplifies crop protection logistics. Less chemicals mean a cleaner, more eco-friendly harvest, which is critical for the fresh produce market.

Yield Performance

In practice, 'Logan' shows excellent pod filling. The pod length varies from 7 to 9 cm, making it visually appealing for buyers. During harvest, the pods maintain their marketability, don't overgrow, and keep their color, which is essential for both manual and mechanized harvesting.

• Vegetation: 50-60 days.
• Pod: up to 9 cm, high uniformity.
• Filling: up to 8 peas.
• Health: high immunity against soil-borne and foliar infections.

If you're looking for a variety that won't let you down on timing and will yield high-quality produce without constant plant care, Strube 'Logan' is a solid choice for your vegetable production line.
