ARFA

The Arfa vegetable pea is an early-maturing variety that matures within 50-63 days from full germination to the beginning of technical maturity. The plant has a stem about 50-60 cm tall, which grows without support, with blue-green leaves and medium-sized white flowers. Pea pods are 7-9 cm long, slightly curved in shape with a pointed tip, and usually contain 6 to 9 dark green peas, uniform in size and color. Peas at technical maturity are characterized by a rich green color and firm texture, with a dry matter content of about 20.8% and a total sugar content of 5.6%, giving the peas a pleasant sweet taste.

The Arfa variety is distinguished by its high yield, reaching up to 2.8 kg per square meter or 50-86 centners per hectare, which is 20 centners higher than standard figures. Peas are well-suited for use fresh and for canning due to the high yield of green peas from pods (44-48%). Seeds are wrinkled, with greenish cotyledons; the mass of 1000 seeds is 200-220 grams. The height of attachment of lower pods is within 20-26 cm, which facilitates harvest collection.

One of the key advantages of the Arfa variety is its resistance to adverse weather conditions, including low temperatures in spring and high temperatures in summer. Additionally, the variety has good resistance to diseases such as fusarium and ascochytosis, which ensures stability and reliability of the yield. Thanks to early maturing dates, high productivity, and excellent taste qualities, Arfa peas are popular among gardeners and vegetable producers.
