Description GRAY NOSE
The Gray Nose eggplant variety is mid-season and suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under film coverings. The plant reaches a height of up to 70 cm, has a semi-spreading shape, and weak stem pubescence. Fruits are cylindrical, 18-20 cm long, with a distinct glossy dark purple color at technical maturity, which changes to brown at biological maturity. Fruit mass is 200-250 g, with firm, whitish flesh that is non-bitter. Thorns on the calyx are rare. The yield is 7.0-7.5 kg per square meter, making it a high-yield choice for gardeners. Gray Nose is distinguished by excellent taste and fruit uniformity, which is especially valued for home use. The variety is resistant to major diseases and not susceptible to spider mites or Colorado potato beetles, reducing the need for frequent application of protective agents. These eggplants are widely used in cooking: they are suitable for preparing vegetable caviar, pickling, and canning. Thanks to the firm flesh and absence of bitterness, the fruits retain a pleasant taste and texture after thermal processing, making them versatile for various recipes.
