Table Beet PRIMORSKAYA 4

Proven Genetics for Commercial Agriculture

The 'Primorskaya 4' beet variety has established itself as a reliable staple for both large-scale commercial production and private farming. Developed by the Educational and Scientific Center of the Vegetable Experimental Station in collaboration with the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing (involving experts like A. S. Kornilov and N. A. Sakara), this variety represents a legacy of solid breeding practice tailored for consistent performance.

Key Agronomic Traits

Falling into the mid-season category, 'Primorskaya 4' features a growing cycle of 110–120 days. This duration is ideal for producers targeting both fresh market sales and long-term storage. The defining feature of this variety is its cylindrical root shape, which is highly preferred by the processing industry due to the ease of uniform slicing and portioning.

• Appearance: The roots exhibit vibrant shades ranging from pink-red to a deep, intense dark red upon full maturity.
• Quality and Durability: The variety produces dense, robust roots that resist lignification and are well-suited for mechanical harvesting and transportation.

Choosing 'Primorskaya 4' provides the grower with peace of mind. In a market often saturated with volatile hybrids, this variety offers a predictable output and consistent commercial quality. It remains a preferred choice for farmers who value proven stability and high-quality yield characteristics in their crop rotation cycles.
