Shcherbet is a mid-early sugar pea variety with a maturation period of 55-65 days. The plant reaches a height of up to 100 cm and requires support during cultivation. The pods are light green, about 10 cm long, and contain 5-7 peas of uniform size. They are distinguished by thick, fleshy, and sugary walls, making them especially tasty and juicy.
This pea variety is valued as a dietary product, rich in proteins, sugars, starch, vitamins, and carotene. It is recommended to consume underripe pods fresh, which allows to preserve the maximum of useful substances and enjoy a delicate taste. Sowing is carried out in early spring on the sunny side of the site, deepening the seeds to 4-6 cm, with row spacing of 15x30 cm.
The yield of the Shcherbet variety is from 0.8 to 1.3 kg per square meter. Harvesting occurs in July-August, which allows obtaining fresh and healthy pods during the summer period.
