Citadela

Citadela — a late-maturing variety of table beet with a vegetation period of 125 to 130 days. This variety is characterized by weak leafing, which simplifies care and harvest. The roots are cylindrical, reaching 21 to 26 centimeters in length, with individual root weights ranging from 180 to 350 grams. The beet flesh is a rich red color, free of rings and coarse fibers, ensuring juiciness and a pleasant sweet taste.

The Citadela variety is distinguished by high resistance to diseases typical for table beets and stable yield, making it popular among growers. Traditionally, sowing begins at the end of April, but for long-term storage, it is recommended to sow from early May to late June. When sown later, the roots retain good storage quality for an extended period.

Citadela beet is suitable for fresh consumption as well as processing, thanks to its flavor profile and flesh structure. Production of this variety takes place in the Czech Republic, guaranteeing high seed quality and compliance with modern agricultural standards.
