Wapiti sugar beet is a hybrid specifically developed for cultivation in the Central Chernozem, Middle Volga, and Ural regions, including Voronezh and Penza Oblasts. This variety is characterized by high root yield, reaching 596 centners per hectare, with an average root weight of 711 grams. The sugar content in the roots is 16.9%, ensuring a sugar harvest of 100.7 centners per hectare, making Wapiti an attractive choice for sugar producers.

The hybrid exhibits resistance to several common diseases, such as rhizomania and powdery mildew, and is tolerant to ramularia. During testing, it showed low root rot infection, moderate powdery mildew and cercospora infection, but significant root pest damage. These characteristics make Wapiti a sufficiently resistant and reliable variety for cultivation under various climatic conditions.
