Description Verdi
Beet sugar variety Verdi is a single-seed diploid hybrid on a sterile N-type base, developed for effective cultivation in various regions, including Tula and Kursk Oblasts. This hybrid is characterized by high yield potential and high sugar content, confirmed by field trials: average root crop yield in the Central region is 540.2 c/ha, sugar content is 17.4%, and sugar harvest reaches 92.8 c/ha. Compared to standard varieties, Verdi demonstrates significant superiority in yield and sugar harvest, making it an attractive choice for sugar producers.

The Verdi hybrid has low potassium (K), sodium (Na), and nitrogen (N) content in juice, which is an important advantage for producing high-quality sugar. The plant leaves are dark green with wavy edges, and the roots are buried 95% in the soil, which contributes to their protection and preservation. The variety exhibits moderate resistance to powdery mildew and cercosporosis, as well as resistance to rhizomania and lodging, ensuring stable yields and reduced losses under adverse conditions. Recommended for harvesting in early to mid-seasons, allowing optimization of agronomic practices.

Verdi seeds are treated with high-quality fungicide Poncho Beta (Bayer) and packaged in 1 kg boxes. They have a green color and the particle size of pelleted seeds is 3.5-4.75 mm. Seed quality indicators meet DSTU 3226-95 standards and include germination exceeding 90%, uniformity above 94%, seed purity over 99%, uniformity above 95%, and moisture content below 10%. All these characteristics make the Verdi variety a reliable and high-yielding choice for sugar production in various climatic zones.
