Description BASILIUS
The sugar beet hybrid BASILIUS is intended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the North Caucasus, Volga, Ural regions, as well as Penza Oblast and the Republic of Tatarstan. This single-stem diploid hybrid on a sterile NZ-type base is characterized by high adaptability and stable productivity in the aforementioned growing areas.

The average root mass varies from 648 to 828 grams depending on the region, ensuring a significant yield. The root yield in the North Caucasus region reaches approximately 562-570 centners per hectare, in the Volga region — up to 624 centners per hectare, and in the Ural region — about 394 centners per hectare. Sugar harvest is also high: in the North Caucasus region it amounts to approximately 80.8 centners per hectare, in the Volga region — exceeds the standard by 43.5 centners per hectare, and in the Ural region it reaches 87.9 centners per hectare. The sugar content in the roots ranges from 16.8% to 17.6%, indicating high product quality.

The hybrid BASILIUS is characterized by moderate resistance to cercospora, reducing the risk of yield losses due to diseases. The medium-late maturity allows for effective planning of agronomic activities and harvest. Thanks to its high yield and sugar quality, as well as adaptability to various climatic conditions, BASILIUS is a reliable choice for the sugar industry and agricultural enterprises in the specified regions.
