Sunflower Aurora AM

Stability and Oil Content: The Potential of Aurora AM Hybrid

In modern agricultural production, the choice of seeds is shifting toward intensive hybrids that combine early maturity with high productivity. The sunflower hybrid "Aurora AM," developed by the breeders at Af Npp Agromir, is a solution for farms focused on obtaining high-quality raw materials with superior oil content.

Agronomic Profile

This hybrid belongs to the medium-early maturity group. The growing season ranges from 90 to 110 days, making it an optimal choice for regions with a shorter warm season or for systems requiring rotation with winter crops. The plant height is moderate, reaching 140–150 cm, which facilitates mechanical harvesting and reduces losses due to lodging.

• Oil content: 50–55%, which is a premium-level indicator for the processing industry.
• Phytosanitary resistance: A key factor in the hybrid’s reliability is its genetic resistance to downy mildew (peronosporosis), which helps reduce the need for fungicide applications during early growth stages.

The Role of the Hybrid in Cultivation Technology

The products of Af Npp Agromir traditionally occupy a niche in the segment of accessible yet technologically advanced solutions. "Aurora AM" demonstrates stability in moderate climates. The high oil content of the seeds allows growers to aim for premium prices when supplying harvest to oil extraction plants. This hybrid does not require excessive chemical input, which, combined with its predictable growing cycle, ensures high profitability per hectare even with minimal risks of fungal infection.
