Canyon sugar beet is a mid-season hybrid developed for high yield and high sugar content. This variety features good storability in storage pits, ensuring root preservation after harvest. Canyon is recommended for cultivation in the Central Chernozem, North Caucasus, and Volga regions, and is suitable for irrigation, expanding its cultivation potential across various climatic conditions.

The hybrid exhibits resistance to rhizomania and major diseases, contributing to stable yields. However, it is susceptible to powdery mildew, root pests, and cercosporosis, requiring attention during agronomic practices. In the Central Chernozem region, average root yield reaches 420 centners per hectare with sugar content of 18.4%, and sugar harvest amounts to 79.4 centners per hectare. In the North Caucasus region, yield exceeds the standard by 70 centners per hectare, and sugar harvest by 10.2 centners, with average root mass reaching 582 grams.

Canyon sugar beet is characterized by low cultivation requirements and high sugar yield, making it attractive to agricultural producers. Due to its combination of disease resistance, good storability, and high sugar content, this variety ensures efficient sugar production and stable income when grown in recommended regions.
