Sugar beet RIAVAL

Consistent performance in the field

Managing sugar beet crops is all about the balance between yield and plant health. The "Riava" hybrid by Florimond-Desprez Veuve et Fils stands out for its reliability. Its cylindrical-conical root shape is a practical advantage for mechanized harvesting; the roots are less prone to mechanical damage during lifting, which significantly reduces harvest losses and ensures cleaner raw material.

Natural disease defense

For those managing the fields, "Riava" offers peace of mind regarding pathology. Its genetic resistance to root rot, cercospora, powdery mildew, and seedling diseases is robust. This translates into fewer spray runs during the season, saving fuel and reducing equipment wear and tear. It performs predictably, which allows for better planning of field operations.

Sugar content and logistics

With a sugar content ranging from 18% to 19%, "Riava" consistently meets the requirements of sugar refineries. The uniform size of the roots simplifies the adjustment of harvesters and planters, ensuring a smooth operational flow. For an operator, this means less downtime for recalibration and a more efficient harvest cycle. You are working with a variety that delivers quality on arrival, minimizing the risks associated with sugar percentage fluctuations.
