Description TROJKA
Sugar beet of the TROJKA variety is an important sugar-bearing crop for temperate regions, possessing a high sugar content — from 18 to 20%. This variety is distinguished by a cylindrical root shape, with an average weight of about 700 grams and a large size. The root is deeply buried in the soil and has a smooth surface, which significantly facilitates harvesting by reducing soil adhesion. The vegetation period of the plant is up to 120 days, corresponding to medium maturation dates.

The plant is resistant to adverse climatic conditions such as drought and cold, and also possesses high resistance to diseases, including cercosporosis, powdery mildew, and root rot. The leaf rosette is semi-spreading, with a leaf blade of medium size, solid and moderately corrugated. The root system is taproot, penetrating to a depth of 2-2.5 meters, which contributes to good nutrition and plant stability.

Sugar beet TROJKA has universal application. It is used in cooking for preparing traditional dishes such as borscht and kvass, and also serves as a waste-free fodder crop due to high content of fodder units and digestible protein both in roots and in tops. Moreover, this variety is widely used for technical purposes for sugar and molasses production, making it a valuable product for both the food industry and agriculture.
