Sugar beet variety Langusta is distinguished by its high yield potential and sugar content, making it in demand in agriculture. The plant forms a medium-sized leaf rosette with a semi-spreading shape and dark green leaves. The root has a cylindrical-conical shape, weighs about 700 grams, and is deeply embedded in the soil at 85%, which contributes to its good preservation and resistance to damage during harvesting due to its relatively smooth surface.

This variety is characterized by high resistance to drought, cold, and various diseases, including cercospora, powdery mildew, and root rot. The vegetation period lasts up to 120 days, making Langusta suitable for mid-season harvest. The root system is taprooted and penetrates to a depth of 2-2.5 meters, ensuring the plant with reliable nutrition and resilience to adverse conditions.

Langusta is widely used in culinary applications, especially for preparing traditional dishes such as borscht and kvass.
