Sunflower ES Hardy

Stable performance with Clearfield technology

The 'EC Hardy' sunflower hybrid from 'Eurosem' is a strategic choice for agricultural enterprises focusing on the 'Clearfield' production system. The main advantage of this hybrid is its ability to combine a short vegetation period (90-100 days) with high oil content (50-55%), making it an excellent candidate for regions with unpredictable rainfall or shorter growing seasons.

Key advantages for professional growers

• Weed Management: Resistance to imidazolinone herbicides (Euro-Lightning) allows for efficient in-season control of weeds and broomrape, significantly reducing mechanical tillage costs.
• Disease Resistance: The hybrid possesses robust genetic immunity against white mold, gray mold, phomopsis, and downy mildew, which minimizes the need for extensive fungicide applications.
• Agronomic Vigor: With a plant height between 140-180 cm, 'EC Hardy' offers great competition against weeds early on and demonstrates excellent standability at harvest time.

Is it the right fit for your field?

'EC Hardy' is optimal for intensive farming operations looking for predictable results. Its strongest suit is the combination of early maturity and genetic disease defense, allowing producers to plan their harvest timeline earlier than with standard hybrids. While it performs well under stress, producers should carefully adjust plant density based on soil moisture potential to ensure optimal head fill.

If you are seeking a reliable, high-oil hybrid that simplifies weed control while maintaining genetic protection against major pathogens, this simple hybrid is a proven, cost-effective solution.
