ES Hardy is a high-yielding sunflower hybrid developed by the company Evrosam using Clearfield technology, which ensures effective weed control and enhanced resistance to abiotic and biotic factors. This hybrid is characterized by an increased tolerance to stressful conditions, allowing for consistently high yields even under the most extreme climatic conditions. ES Hardy is ideally suited for cultivation in southern, southeastern, and eastern regions of Ukraine, demonstrating excellent productivity and adaptability.
The hybrid's vegetative period ranges from 90 to 115 days depending on growing conditions, classifying it as ultra-early or early-maturing. Plant height varies between 145-180 cm, and seed oil content reaches 50-52%, ensuring high oil quality. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major diseases, including five races of downy mildew (A, B, C, D, E), false powdery mildew, peronosporosis, white and gray mold, fomopsis, rust, and other fungal diseases, confirmed by resistance ratings of 8-9 points.
ES Hardy is also characterized by high drought and cold tolerance, making it a reliable choice for regions with unstable weather conditions. Its yield potential reaches 5-7 tons per hectare under optimal conditions, with seed count per bag at 150,000 seeds, weighing approximately 68 grams for 1000 seeds. Seeds are treated with Evrostim Phito and Maxim XL for additional protection and growth stimulation. Due to its characteristics, ES Hardy is a promising hybrid for efficient and stable sunflower production across various climatic zones in Ukraine.
