POL S 2466 is a mid-ripening diploid hybrid of sugar beet intended for cultivation in all regions of the sugar beet growing zone. The root crop has a cylinder-cone shape, large size, and an average weight of about 700 grams. The plant is characterized by resistance to various climatic conditions, including heat and cold, which ensures harvest stability. The vegetation period is up to 120 days, allowing the hybrid to successfully develop in medium maturity periods.
The leaf rosette is semi-spreading, with a leaf blade of medium size, whole and moderately corrugated. The root system is taproot, penetrating into the soil to a depth of 2-2.5 meters, which promotes good nutrition and plant stability. The root crop surface is relatively smooth, which reduces soil adhesion during harvest and facilitates the harvesting process. The hybrid has high resistance to diseases such as cercospora, powdery mildew, and root rot.
