Sunflower Tor 7+ — an ultraprecoce, high-yielding hybrid characterized by high oil content (50–52%) and potential yield up to 5.0 t/ha. The vegetation period of this hybrid is 90–95 days, and plant height ranges from 145 to 165 cm. Thanks to its characteristics, Tor 7+ is an optimal choice for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including steppe, forest-steppe, and polissia.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to 7+ strains of the Russian weevil (A–G+), providing reliable protection against this pest even on weed-infested areas. Additionally, it shows tolerance to a wide range of diseases, including false powdery mildew, white and gray rot, rust, powdery mildew, fusarium, alternaria, septoria, and sooty mold. High drought tolerance (up to 90%) and resistance to lodging and shattering make this hybrid especially valuable for regions with insufficient moisture.
Recommended planting density depends on moisture conditions: under adequate moisture, optimal density is 65–70 thousand plants per hectare, while in dry conditions — 55–60 thousand plants per hectare. The hybrid is well-adapted to the Granstar cultivation technology and demonstrates stable results when agronomic recommendations are followed. Thanks to its unique properties, Tor 7+ ensures reliable, high-quality sunflower harvest with high oil content.
