Sugar beet LIVADA KWS

Stable Yields Under High Disease Pressure

Sugar beet «Livada KWS» is the choice for agronomists aiming to minimize risks when growing root crops in regions with a high probability of pathogen impact. The breeding program of KWS (Germany) is focused here on biological crop protection without compromising sugar content quality.

Agronomic Application Scenarios

This hybrid belongs to the NZ (Normal-Sugar) type. It is a versatile solution for farms tasking themselves with a balanced result: high root weight while maintaining sufficient sugar percentages for successful processing at sugar refineries.

• Rhizomania Resistance: The variety possesses genetic resistance to necrotic yellow vein virus, which is critical for fields with a history of intensive beet farming.
• Cercospora Tolerance: High tolerance to this foliar disease allows for optimizing fungicide application schedules, reducing farm budget pressure and overall chemical load on the field.

Field experience shows that «Livada KWS» demonstrates excellent crop uniformity and synchronous germination. This facilitates mechanized field operations, including primary weeding and inter-row cultivation. Thanks to its resistance to key diseases, the hybrid maintains the photosynthetic leaf surface until harvest, directly impacting dry matter accumulation in September and October. It is highly recommended for farms seeking predictable results under challenging climatic conditions.
