Sugar beet KW Jaltushkiv

Stable yield even under stress conditions

When working with the KWS KV Yaltushkiv hybrid, farmers immediately notice the predictability of the results. This is a case where German breeding addresses the main pain points of sugar beet production: leaf disease protection and rot resistance. In the field, the crop performs reliably: the cylindrical-conical root shape allows for easy extraction from the soil, significantly reducing losses during mechanized harvesting. The medium root size is optimal for modern logistics and processing at sugar mills.

Protection that actually works

Field experience shows that the hybrid stands strong against cercospora and powdery mildew. In wet summers, when infection pressure is high, the hybrid maintains its foliage until harvest. This is crucial not only for sugar accumulation but also for protecting the root from rot during the growing season. Resistance to root rot ensures the storage of a high-quality product with minimal post-harvest waste.

• Root shape simplifies mechanical harvesting.
• High tolerance to foliar pathogens saves the budget on fungicides.
• Consistent development even under moderate agronomic conditions.

For a grower, this means less stress when planning protection programs and the confidence that seed investments will return in the form of high-quality yield rather than additional costs for extra treatments.
