Sugar beet KV-Desna is a high-yielding variety intended for cultivation in Ukraine. This variety is distinguished by its high yield potential and sugar content, making it in-demand in the country's agro-industrial complex for sugar production. The KV-Desna root is oval-conical in shape and penetrates the soil to about 85%, contributing to good harvest stability and quality. The leaf rosette is of medium size, dark green, and branched, indicating healthy plant development.
The KV-Desna variety exhibits high resistance to adverse environmental factors such as drought, cold, and various diseases, and also possesses good storability, facilitating harvest storage. It is recommended for mid-season harvest, allowing optimization of agronomic practices and increasing production efficiency. To achieve maximum results, it is essential to properly select soil conditions and ensure balanced fertilizer application, including nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus, and microelements, taking into account the plant's growth phases.
Seed production for KV-Desna is carried out by SESVANDERHAVE (Belgium) and includes several processing stages: threshing, rough and final cleaning, drying, polishing, pelleting, and packaging. The seeds undergo careful preparation at the factory of LLC "Sesvanderhave-Ukraine", ensuring high germination rate and productivity of planting material. This approach to seed selection and processing guarantees reliable and stable yields for farmers using this variety.
