Sugar beet KV-Desna

Operational advantages in the field

For agricultural operators, the 'KV-Desna' sugar beet variety, developed by the Institute of Sugar Beet of the UAAS, is synonymous with predictable harvesting. The key to its efficiency lies in the oval-conical shape of the root, which is highly appreciated during mechanical harvesting. This shape allows for a smoother transition through the harvester's lifting units, effectively reducing mechanical stress on the equipment.

Maintenance and harvest performance

• Harvesting ease: The geometry of the root simplifies the adjustment of lifter shares, leading to fewer soil blockages and lower fuel consumption during the harvesting process.
• Machinery reliability: Reduced root breakage during the extraction process ensures that the cleaning systems of the combines remain free of debris, extending the service life of belts and conveyors.
• Crop consistency: High uniformity of the roots ensures consistent throughput, which is essential for maximizing the operational speed of the harvesting fleet.

Choosing 'KV-Desna' means prioritizing operational efficiency. The variety’s design is clearly aimed at reducing the time spent on maintenance and cleaning of agricultural machinery. For a farm manager, this translates into a smoother harvest season with fewer mechanical interruptions and a cleaner, higher-quality output delivered to the processing facility.
