Kalinivskyi

Kalinivskyi — this is a sugar beet variety with high yield and sugar potential, intended for medium harvest periods. The root has a cylindrical-conical shape, average weight around 700 grams, and features a relatively smooth surface, facilitating harvesting and reducing soil adhesion. The leaf rosette is of medium size, semi-erect, with dark green leaves of moderately corrugated structure. The root system is taprooted, penetrating to a depth of 2-2.5 meters, which contributes to the plant's drought and cold resistance.

The Kalinivskyi variety exhibits high resistance to major sugar beet diseases, such as cercosporosis, powdery mildew, and root rot, as well as to bolting. Thanks to these qualities and good storability, it retains its properties for a long time after harvest. The vegetation period is up to 120 days, allowing effective planning of agronomic activities.

Application of ICL PKpluS 15-30 fertilizer significantly increases the yield of this variety. Applying fertilizers in rows at sowing provides an additional yield of 60 centners per hectare and an extra 1000 kg of sugar per hectare while maintaining the sugar content of the roots. Kalinivskyi is used not only for sugar and molasses production, but also in culinary applications — for making borscht and kvass, and as a by-product feed crop.
