Courlis

Sugar beet of the Courlis variety is a mid-early hybrid with high sugar content — up to 21%. The root has a cylindrical-conical shape, weighs about 700 grams, and is deeply embedded in the soil (up to 85-94%), which ensures good resistance to adverse conditions. The leaf rosette is of medium size, semi-spreading, with dark green, medium-thick leaves and moderately wrinkled surface. The root system is taprooted, penetrating to a depth of 2-2.5 meters, contributing to drought and cold resistance.

The variety exhibits high resistance to diseases such as cercospora, powdery mildew, and root rot, as well as to bolting. Thanks to these qualities and good storability, Courlis is recommended for cultivation in forest-steppe and Polissia regions. The vegetative period is up to 120 days, allowing this variety to be used for mid-season harvests.

Courlis has a universal, non-waste use: all parts of the plant are useful and can be applied in various fields. In culinary use, beet is used for making borscht and kvass, as well as as a fodder crop. Additionally, the variety is suitable for technical processing, including sugar and molasses production. The seed package contains 100,000 seeds, storage conditions — at +7-10°C and humidity not exceeding 10%, ensuring the preservation of planting material.
