Grace

The Sudan grass variety "GRACE" is a high-yield plant, specifically selected through multiple self-pollination and the breeding of the most productive individuals. It is characterized by high initial growth intensity and regrowth after cutting, allowing for two cuttings within a short period: the first cutting is 54 days, and the second is 91 days to full maturity.

Externally, "GRACE" is a tall plant reaching about 225 cm in height at maturity. The panicle is pyramidal and loose, leaves are lanceolate and bright green, and seeds are elongated and membranous. These features make the variety particularly suitable for silage production: average green mass yield is 44 t/ha, and dry matter yield is 12.3 t/ha.

The plant's fodder qualities are high: crude protein content in dry matter reaches 10.8%, fiber is 42%, and nitrogen-free extractives are 40.7%. "GRACE" is also noted for its resistance to head smut, bacterial blight, and aphids, as well as good drought tolerance. This makes it a reliable choice for livestock feeding in various climatic conditions.
