Description SPARTANKA
Sudan grass «SPARTANKA» is an annual grass grown as a fodder crop for cattle, horses, and sheep. The variety is characterized by a soft taste and pleasant aroma, as well as high content of nutrients: sugars, proteins, ash, vitamins and minerals. Thanks to these properties, the grass is perfect both in fresh form and after processing – silage or hay is made from it.

«SPARTANKA» is characterized by early maturity: the period from germination to the first cut is 45‑48 days, and for seeds – 90‑95 days. With two cuts, the yield of green mass reaches 35.5 t/ha, dry matter – 9.0 t/ha, and seeds – 2.2–2.3 t/ha. Plant height is 200‑220 cm and density in the field is 0.8 to 0.9 million plants per hectare at sowing 18‑20 kg/ha.

Variety «SPARTANKA» is suitable for growing both in row and between-row method. For seed sowing, the sowing rate is 10‑13 kg/ha, which ensures a density of 0.4 to 0.5 million plants per hectare. Thanks to high yield and nutritional value, «SPARTANKA» is a sought-after choice for farmers seeking to improve animal feeding efficiency.
