Sorghum hybrid "Silosne 3" is a high-yielding variety intended for cultivation as grain or silage. This crop is distinguished by its drought and disease resistance, making it especially valuable for farmers in Ukraine's variable climate. The vegetation period of sorghum ranges from 115 to 140 days, and plant height varies from 60 to 200 cm. Grain yield potential reaches 32-38 ц/га, and silage yield can reach up to 900 ц/га, confirming the high productivity of the variety.
Sorghum is a high-energy crop with protein content around 11%, fat up to 4.5%, and carbohydrates at 79%, of which 70% is starch. Its vitamin complex includes B-group vitamins (B1, B2, B4, B5, B6), PP, and H, as well as essential macro- and microelements such as potassium, calcium, silicon, magnesium, sodium, sulfur, phosphorus, iron, zinc, and copper. The caloric value of the crop is 323 kcal, making it a valuable feed resource.
Sorghum "Silosne 3" is well-adapted to various soil-climatic conditions in Ukraine and requires minimal fertilizer inputs due to its resilience and drought tolerance. To increase silage mass yield, it is recommended to intercrop with corn, especially in dry regions. Hybrid seeds are supplied with quality assurance and treated for disease protection, ensuring stable and reliable crops.
