Sorghum Jumbo max

Focusing on grain productivity

The «Jumbo Max» grain sorghum hybrid by Advanta is designed for farms aiming for stable yields in high-risk farming regions. This Indian-bred hybrid emphasizes maximum output of the grain component, making it an excellent tool for building feed reserves or for commercial grain production.

Agronomic performance

• Purpose: Specifically optimized to produce full, heavy grain heads with a high thousand-grain weight. The red color of the grain is indicative of its robust quality, helping to reduce bird damage in the field.
• Field adaptability: The hybrid shows excellent resilience to moisture stress during the critical phases of reproductive growth.
• Harvesting: Due to uniform plant height and a compact panicle structure, the crop ensures low losses during combining. It is perfectly suited for operations where high-purity grain is a top priority.

Practical application in the field

In crop rotation, Advanta's «Jumbo Max» is often placed after row crops, efficiently utilizing residual moisture. Growers value this hybrid for its predictable response to nitrogen fertilization: a well-managed nutrient program allows for reaching target yield goals even in dry seasons. It is a reliable solution for producers looking to balance input costs with the overall profitability of their grain acreage.
