Stepoviy 8 F1

Hybrid sorghum grain Stepoviy 8 F1 is an early-maturing variety, specifically developed for cultivation in the steppe zone. The plant has a medium height of about 95 cm, is low-growing and lodging-resistant, ensuring reliability under adverse weather conditions. The vegetation period is approximately 118 days, allowing harvest at optimal times.

The grain is light-brown, naked, and rich in nutrients: 13.4% protein, 76.7% starch, and 3.3% lysine. The moisture content of the grain at harvest is about 15%. The hybrid's yield reaches 3.2 tons per hectare, making it profitable for agricultural production. Stepoviy 8 F1 exhibits high drought, shattering, and disease resistance, confirmed by a rating of 7 points for these traits.

This hybrid is suitable for both food and fodder use of grain, expanding its application in the agricultural sector. It has been included in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine since 2003 and was developed by the Institute of Grain Crops of NAANU, guaranteeing its quality and adaptation to the climatic conditions of the steppe zone.
