Distinguishing features. Variety dentate (ssp. indentata). Plant height 240-260 cm. Ear attachment height 90-95 cm. Leaf number 17-18. Ear length 24-26 cm. Row number of kernels 18. Grain yield 84-85%. Ear stalk red. 1000 kernel weight 310-315 g.
Biological characteristics. Maturity group Medium-maturing FAO 315. Duration from emergence to full maturity 116-118 days. Initial growth rapid. Cold resistance high. Drought resistance high. Resistance to lodging high. Resistance to ear drooping high. Resistance to gray mold high. Resistance to southern rust high. Resistance to stalk rot high. Resistance to corn borer high.
Agronomic traits. Potential grain yield 11.5-12.0 t/ha. Recommended planting density for Steppe 45-50 thousand/ha and for Forest-steppe 55-60 thousand/ha. Harvest moisture 25-26%. Dry matter content in green mass 31-32%. Protein content in grain 10.3%. Starch content 74.2%.
Hybrid seed production is conducted on sterile M-type basis according to full restoration scheme without panicle breakage. Sterility of maternal form 99-100%. Optimal planting scheme of parental forms for hybridization plots 12:4 and 8:4. Seed plots require high agronomic standards, weed control, and nutrient conditions. Seed yield under favorable conditions 1.8-2.0 t/ha.
