Odessa 205

Odessa 205 sorghum variety is a high-yielding grain variety with a vegetation period of about 110 days. It is characterized by low stature (120-125 cm), thick stems with a diameter of 25-30 mm, and absence of branching. Leaves are wide with dark-gray veins, and the upright panicle reaches a length of 10-12 cm. Grains are large, red, and half-open, which contributes to a high grain milling yield of 80-85%. The 1000-grain weight is 24-28 g.

Odessa 205 exhibits high resistance to head smut and bacterial blight, as well as drought tolerance and lodging resistance, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. The average yield of this variety is 33-39 c/ha, with potential reaching 75 c/ha. Grain quality indicators include 13.5-13.6% protein, 69-71% starch, and 3.0-3.1% fat, ensuring high-quality raw material for processing.

Before shipment, seeds of this variety are processed using European technology on Czech equipment, including UV and ozone treatment. This enhances their sowing qualities and guarantees high germination rates. Odessa 205 is suitable for mechanical harvesting, simplifying agronomic processes and improving production efficiency.
