Varietal characteristics. Variety with dentiform (ssp. indentata). Plant height 280-290 cm. Ear attachment height 95-100 cm. Number of leaves 18-19. Ear length 25-26 cm. Row of kernels 16-18. Grain yield 84-85%. Ear stalk is red. 1000 kernel weight 310-320 g.
Biological features. Maturity group Medium-maturing FAO 320. Duration from emergence to full maturity 117-119 days. Initial growth is rapid. Cold resistance is high. Drought resistance is high. Resistance to lodging is high. Resistance to ear drooping is high. Resistance to airborne smut is high. Resistance to blister smut is high. Resistance to stalk rot is high. Resistance to corn borer is high.
Agronomic characteristics. Potential grain yield 11.5-12.0 t/ha. Recommended planting density for Steppe 45-50 thousand/ha and for Forest-Steppe 55-60 thousand/ha. Harvest moisture 29-31%. Potential green mass yield 50.0-53.0 t/ha. Dry matter content in green mass 32-33%. Protein content in grain 10.2%. Starch content 76.8%.
Hybrid seed production is conducted on sterile M-type basis according to full restoration scheme, without panicle removal. Sterility of maternal form 99-100%. Optimal planting scheme for parental forms on hybridization sites 12:4 and 6:2. Seed plots require high level of agronomy, weed control and nutrient conditions. Seed yield under favorable conditions 2.8-3.0 t/ha.
