BLACK CHALK 1

The birch variety «Black Chalk‑1» was developed by scientists from the Voronezh State Forest Technical University after nearly fifty years of research. It features a straight trunk and accelerated growth, allowing it to reach maturity quickly and ensure high timber yields.

The main advantages of the variety are high frost resistance and drought tolerance. Thanks to these properties, the tree maintains productivity even under harsh climate change conditions. Moreover, «Black Chalk‑1» demonstrates significant carbon dioxide absorption rates, making it a valuable element of natural ecosystems and CO₂ sequestration projects.

The variety is already used in forestry departments for creating shelterbelts and is utilized in various regions of the country. Its biological productivity and potential for dissemination make «Black Chalk‑1» a promising material for both commercial production and environmental initiatives aimed at improving the atmosphere.
