Description AJURNA
Ajurna Hippophae rhamnoides is one of the most popular domestic varieties, attracting gardeners with large fruits and smooth shoots. The plant is characterized by its high growth, spreading crown, and thornless green leaves, which makes it easy to care for and safe for children and pets.

Ajurna fruits have a cylindrical shape, a bright orange color with a slight reddish blush on the sunny side. They are juicy, sweet with a slight acidity, making them especially appealing both for fresh consumption and for processing: juices, jams, morss, and infusions. The variety ripens in the latter half of August – harvest begins in the third decade of the month, and one bush can yield up to 10–12 kg of berries.

Ajurna Hippophae rhamnoides is distinguished by high winter hardiness (up to -35 °C) and resistance to heat, drought, and most fungal diseases. Due to these properties, the plant easily withstands sharp temperature fluctuations and is rarely affected by pests and mold. This makes it an excellent choice for both commercial cultivation and organic gardening. In addition, due to its decorativeness and compact crown, Ajurna is often used as a living hedge or garden decoration.
