The sea buckthorn variety "ZARYA DABAT" is a medium-sized bush with a spreading crown and weak thorniness, which facilitates harvest collection. The shoots are of medium length, curved, and light green, while the leaves are small, shiny, and convex, reaching up to 8 cm in length.
The fruits are of medium size, cylindrical in shape, bright orange with a blush at the ends. They have thick skins, detach easily when dry, and have a sour-sweet taste. The mass of a single fruit ranges from 0.5 to 0.8 g.
The internal composition of the fruit pulp includes about 5% sugar, 2.2% acid, 130 mg/% carotene, 4.8% oils, and 5.3% oils. Thanks to these characteristics, the variety is suitable for both food production and the manufacture of cosmetic products. The yield reaches 12 t/ha with an average yield of about 96 c/ha, and its resistance to frost, drying out, and diseases makes it a reliable choice for a wide range of climatic conditions.
