Miscanthus «Sorarovski» is a perennial grass up to two meters tall, distinguished by high yield and resilience to adverse conditions. The plant is characterized by high cellulose content (around 50%), making it a valuable raw material for paper, fiber materials, and biofuel production.
The «Sorarovski» crop can provide an annual yield of 10 to 12 tons per hectare over 20–30 years. Meanwhile, the plant does not deplete the soil and does not compete with food crops for land, allowing it to be used as an additional agricultural plot.
Miscanthus «Sorarovski» is also used in environmental projects: thanks to its ability to accumulate heavy metals, it serves as an effective means for restoring contaminated soils. Additionally, the plant is used as a buffer strip, mulch, and bedding for animals, and its stems can be processed into cellulose and other industrial products.
