Sea buckthorn "GNOM" – a male variety of the Sea buckthorn genus that does not produce edible fruits, but plays an important role in greening and the decorative layout of the site thanks to its compact crown height of up to 2–2.5 m. The plant is distinguished by good frost resistance: its generative buds successfully survive severe frosts, while fragile shoots require protection from heavy snow.
The variety has high pollen productivity and is considered an elite pollinator among male sea buckthorn bushes. For effective pollination of female varieties, a pair of male plants is sufficient: one "GNOM" can serve up to 10–20 female bushes, making it an economically viable choice for gardeners.
Sea buckthorn "GNOM" demonstrates impeccable immunity to most diseases and is characterized by a low number of thorns, which facilitates care. Despite the lack of fruits, its decorative qualities and role in pollination make the plant a valuable element of any garden.
