Description ZAKHAROVSKAYA
The "ZAKHAROVSKAYA" variety is a tall sea buckthorn shrub grown in the Buryat PYES and included in the state register of the Eastern Siberia region. The bushes have a sprawling canopy of medium density, with thornless, straight, and light brown shoots. The leaves are of medium size, green, matte, slightly hairy, but overall smooth.

The fruits of the variety are characterized by a bright red color (in some sources – sunny-yellow) and round-oval shapes. The average berry weight is about 0.5 g, with fruit mass ranging from 0.4 to 0.6 g. The taste is sour-sweet with a pronounced aroma; sugar content is approximately 7.9%, and acidity is 1.8%. It has a high vitamin C content (about 151 mg/100 g) and a moderate fatty composition.

"ZAKHAROVSKAYA" is distinguished by high yield: on average up to 10.6 t/ha, as well as good frost resistance and drought resistance. The variety is resistant to diseases and pests, making it a reliable choice for commercial cultivation. Thanks to its early maturity and dessert taste, the fruits are suitable both for fresh consumption and for processing into juices, compotes, canned goods, and other products.
