The winter rye variety Slavia is a mid-season crop with high winter hardiness and drought resistance, making it universal for cultivation in various climatic conditions. The plant features a medium stem height ranging from 123 to 157 cm and medium-sized grains with a 1000-grain weight between 31 and 54 grams. The variety exhibits good resistance to powdery mildew, brown rust, and stem rust, and can withstand severe frost, ensuring crop stability under complex weather conditions.

Slavia is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the North Caucasian, Northwestern, and Central regions, as well as the Prikhazovskaya zone of the Rostov region. The variety's yield varies by region, reaching from 26.8 to 34.4 centners per hectare, which is 3.5 centners higher than the standard Don 107 in the Prikhazovskaya zone. Thanks to its adaptive properties, the variety is well-suited for cultivation on problematic soils and contributes to soil recovery after poor harvests.

The baking qualities of Slavia rye are assessed as satisfactory with a high falling number, indicating good grain quality for processing. The variety was created with the participation of well-known varieties Ishlitsa, Vetchika, ZT4/95, and ZT5/95, ensuring its stability and high productivity. Thanks to its characteristics, Slavia is a reliable choice for agricultural producers seeking high-quality and stable rye harvests.
