Rye SIBIRSKAYA 87

Resilience in Challenging Environments

Winter rye 'Sibirskaya 87' is a proven asset for farmers operating in high-risk agricultural zones. Developed by the ICG SB RAS, this variety was specifically engineered to withstand severe climate conditions, demonstrating remarkable winter hardiness and consistent yield potential even after prolonged, harsh winters.

Operational Performance and Crop Management

For farm managers, 'Sibirskaya 87' offers high predictability. One of its standout features is its resistance to lodging, which significantly streamlines the harvesting process and minimizes grain losses. The variety integrates seamlessly into standard agrotechnical cycles, requiring no specialized equipment or highly complex input strategies.

• Winter Hardiness: Bred for the extreme temperatures of Siberia, ensuring reliable stand survival.
• Ease of Harvest: Exceptional stem strength allows for efficient field performance and reduced mechanical stress.
• Resource Efficiency: The variety performs well under standard fertilization protocols, keeping production costs competitive.

Managing 'Sibirskaya 87' fields is straightforward. Its high tillering energy during the spring regrowth phase provides a buffer against adverse early-season conditions, eliminating the need for costly reseeding and ensuring a uniform harvest ready for modern combine harvesters.
