Alcor is a new hybrid of sweet corn developed specifically for cultivation in dry regions of Ukraine. The plant reaches a height of about 250 cm and has 14-16 leaves on the main stem. The corn ear, conical-cylindrical in shape and 23-25 cm long, is attached at a height of 95 cm. The kernels, of dent type, are arranged in 16-18 rows, with 39-44 kernels in the lower part. The 1000-kernel weight is approximately 337 g, indicating a high yield potential of the hybrid. The Alcor hybrid is characterized by high productivity and is suitable for early planting due to its high initial growth energy. It possesses drought tolerance, making it a reliable choice for regions with limited water availability. These characteristics allow the full realization of the hybrid's high yield potential and ensure stable production of high-quality raw material. Additionally, Alcor corn can be used to produce food-grade oil rich in vitamins and minerals, beneficial for cardiovascular health and containing low levels of saturated fats. This makes the product suitable for daily consumption and expands the application potential of the hybrid in the food industry.
