Rice KUBYAR

Technical Profile of the Kuboyar Rice Variety

Developed by the Donskoy Agrarian Science Center, the Kuboyar rice variety is engineered for maximum profitability in industrial processing applications. The primary objective achieved by breeders was the integration of high-level genetic resistance to rice blast (Pyricularia), allowing for reduced fungicide dependency while maintaining superior grain quality.

Agronomic Characteristics and Crop Protection

The hallmark of Kuboyar is its intrinsic resistance to a complex of pests and diseases. For field managers, this ensures a more predictable vegetative growth cycle and reduced risk of yield loss from secondary infections that often follow initial blast damage. The variety's high yield potential is supported by a robust stalk structure and consistent panicle density, making it a reliable candidate for intensive farming systems.

Industrial Processing Efficiency

Kuboyar is optimized for large-scale milling and processing facilities. The grain exhibits morphological traits highly compatible with modern dehulling and polishing technologies. Its structural integrity minimizes kernel breakage during mechanical processing, which significantly improves the yield of whole-grain rice. For processors, this translates into higher margins and a greater output of premium-grade product.
