COMMANDOR rice is a mid-season variety (Oryza sativa L.) of the nigro-apiculata type, recommended for cultivation in the Rostov Region and the North Caucasus region. The plant is characterized by the absence of anthocyanin pigmentation in leaves and glumes, medium stem length, and a straw-yellow panicle of medium length with straight or very slightly curved main axis. The grain is broken, white, semi-round, and of medium width, with a 1000-grain weight of 27-31 grams. The vegetative period lasts 114-116 days, maturing simultaneously with the Boyarin variety.

COMMANDOR variety differs in high yield; the average regional yield is 58.2 c/ha, while in the Rostov Region, yields reached 67.6 c/ha, which is 5 c/ha higher than the Boyarin standard, with a maximum yield recorded at 77.8 c/ha. Rice is resistant to lodging and shattering, has high cold hardiness, and can overcome a water layer during the seedling phase, allowing it to be grown without herbicides. Additionally, the variety has field resistance to pyricularia, which enhances its reliability in terms of agronomy.
